It all started when…
I grew tired of not “feeling” happy.
In 2014, I had a revelation. I was unhappy with my life and I wanted to change. I started working out at a local gym and I noticed changes physically and mentally that would direct my career forever.
In 2015, as I was working on my education, I began Powerlifting. In 2017, I positioned myself at 8th in the United States in the Junior 72 kg weight class with even bigger goals in the years to come. Those goals came in 2019 when I placed 3rd in the United States in the Junior 72 kg weight class and in 2020 when I competed at the Arnold Sports Festival, both dreams come true. I now hold over 30 Nebraska state records and still compete.
In 2017, I took the leap to become a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council of Exercise. That same year, I took on my first position as a bootcamp instructor. Training bootcamps kept me on my feet and taught me how to be more than a coach. In the year and a half I worked in group fitness instruction, I met my second family and learned more about my clients and their lives than I could have ever asked for them to share with me. I was more than grateful for them and learned that exercise is only a small part of the health equation.
While working as an instructor, I was able to see people in their raw state. I saw families, emotion, and a need for help that was deeper than an exercise-based level. I had conversations with clients that led to the facilitation of better workouts and the use of exercise as a coping mechanism for the stress of daily life. This was the same year I added Psychology to my degree as I knew it played just as much as a role in health as physical fitness. I had found a passion to help people on multiple levels and I have been feeding that passion since.
In 2018, I left my job as an instructor and moved to an internship in Spain. I worked as a physical therapy and personal training intern at Marva Sports learning more than I could have imagined about coaching . From 2019-2020, I briefly returned to group coaching to help some of the same clients I had previously assisted.
I currently work as an Independent Contractor Coach. This means that I get to be my own boss, set my own hours, and work with clients in a way that I deem fit for each and every individual. I am fortunate enough to make programs personal and individualized for each and every client I work with. I get to know my clients on a personal level and they become my family. Today, I still compete in Powerlifting and work to incorporate recovery and agility into my training. As a coach and trainer, I specialize in weight loss, Powerlifting, strength training, HIIT workouts, bootcamp workouts, and more. I take pride in my versatility, however my education never stops.
With two degrees in Nutrition and Dietetics and Exercise Science finished, I am now pursuing an officer position in the United States Marine Corps. I recently obtained my CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) Certification and will continue to coach as much as I can.
